General Information

Safety and security
Badges must be worn at all times in public areas including the conference dinner and do not leave bags or equipment unattended. LCNUK cannot be held responsible for personal belongings.

Directions
Please see Venue Information for full details and if you are driving to the conference please look at this page for information on car parking and also important information about Glasgow's Low Emission Zone (LEZ) as you may need to pay a charge for your vehicle.

Fire Instructions
In case of a fire at the venue please ensure you are aware of the means of escape and how and where to raise the alarm.

COVID-19

Although not a legal requirement, we recommend that delegates undertake a lateral flow test the day of travel to ensure you are clear of COVID-19. Anyone with symptoms or a positive test must not attend in person. 

Delegates are asked to take all possible precautions against spreading infection as you would in your day to day work. Anyone with symptoms or a positive test during the conference must not attend sessions or the exhibition in person and will need to make arrangements to return home immediately.  Please contact a member of the conference team via email to info@lcnuk.org

Any delegate who contracts COVID-19 in the immediate 3 days following the conference is asked to advise the conference team if they test positive for COVID-19 by emailing info@lcnuk.org.

Conference Information

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM will take place at 1115 hours on Friday 21st June.

Badges
Your name badge will be given to you on arrival at the registration desk. Committee members are identifiable by their badge. Badges must be worn at all times in public areas including the conference dinner. Please return your badges to the events team when departing the conference.

Conference Information and Engagement
The conference will be supported by mobile friendly pages on the LCNUK website for all delegate information. It will provide delegates with access to real-time event information, opportunities to connect with colleagues and peers, view conference materials and abstract information, and ability to stay informed with the latest event happenings via live SMS updates as well as, importantly, helping us to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing printed materials. Only conference attendees will have access to these pages via their LCNUK website login.

Conference timing
The meeting commences promptly at 1030 hours on Thursday and closes at 1520 hours on Friday in Ballroom 1.  Registration, refreshments and exhibition will be open in Ballroom 2 & 3 from 0930 hours on Thursday.

Evaluation form and attendance certificate
Your feedback is crucial to the planning of future conferences. You will receive a link to complete the conference evaluation by email immediately after the conference concludes. Please do take the time to complete this. Upon completion, you will receive an email with a link to download your attendance certificate.

Hospitality desk
Please do not hesitate to contact the conference team at the desk if you have any queries during the conference.

Main meeting and Exhibition
The main conference session room is in Ballroom 1 on the first floor of the venue. Refreshments will be available in Ballroom 2 & 3 during breaks.

Make sure you take time to visit the LCNUK stand in the exhibition area where you can catch up with members of the committee and learn more about LCNUK activities.

Abstract poster display
The abstract poster display will be available to view in the exhibition area.

Luggage store 

If you are staying at the Hilton hotel please leave your luggage with reception on arrival before check in and after check out.  If you are not staying at the Hilton hotel please take your luggage to the cloakroom located in the Ballroom Foyer on the first floor.

Catering
All refreshments and lunches will be served in the Exhibition.

Pre-dinner drinks reception and Gala dinner
There will be a pre-dinner drinks reception in the Ballroom Foyer at 19:30 followed by the Gala Dinner which will take place in Ballroom 1 at 20:00. Please make sure you bring your badge to the Gala Dinner as you will not be allowed entry without it.

The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
