LCNUK are pleased to be able to support LCNUK members with their professional development through our new leadership grant scheme.

Members can apply for funding to complete one of a number of well respected leadership courses. 

Leadership courses supported (subject to availability):

Individuals may apply for funding to support other leadership courses up to a value of £2,000 - applicant must be able to provide full details of the supplier and course material including URL links which will be considered by the application review panel.

Total funding available:

£20,000

Criteria for Application

  • Must be band 6 or above LCNS working within NHS healthcare setting
  • Must have been a member of LCNUK for at least three years
  • Must be able to demonstrate active membership of the organisation within prior six years e.g. attended at least one LCNS conference, and/or annual workshop and/or submitted an abstract to LCNUK 
  • Must be able to demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional development and learning
  • Must commit to supporting the development of at least one LCNUK educational leadership tool/resource following completion of the course e.g. Podcast, webinar, online learning tool
  • Must be willing to act as mentor to another member following completion to support another's leadership journey upon completion of course
  • Must have the support of your line manager and Trust to participate in the course

To give you more time to apply, we have extended the deadline for submissions to our leadership grant.

Terms and Conditions

  • Must be eligible for the course that they wish to apply for (ie meet eligibility requirements)
  • Membership must be continued throughout the course duration
  • Applicants must provide evidence of satisfactory completion of the course
  • If participant fails to complete the course they will be required to return the grant funds
  • Grant funds can only be utilised for that which was applied for in the grant
  • Funds will be paid subject to the presentation of an invoice and accompanied by receipt from the course provider
  • Applicants must have commenced the course before 31 December 2025
  • The decision of the applicant review panel is final
