Lung Cancer in the LGBTQ+ Community

Thursday 23rd May, 18:00 - 19:00

As clinical nurse specialists we are first and foremost our patient’s advocate. We are a work force who are skilled in advanced communication, and this is our main tool in understanding, assessing, and supporting the patients diagnosed with a lung cancer. We also know that the LGBTQ+ community experience greater levels of discrimination which impacts on accessing healthcare services. Presented by Lung Cancer CNS and LCNUK Committe Member Peter Barton, the aim of this webinar is to look at the experience of LGBTQ+ patients within a healthcare setting. But also, to have a closer look at the language we use to help improve our communication with this community.

All healthcare professionals are welcome to join this webinar and to participate in the Q&A session that will follow this presentation.

This webinar has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. The support from our corporate sponsors has allowed us to provide this valuable educational meeting free of charge to all delegates. Sponsors have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers.
