Dr Claribel Simmons is a Consultant Respiratory Physician based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert, Scotland. She has a subspecialist interest in lung cancer. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2004. She completed her specialty training in Respiratory Medicine in Newcastle. She worked with the Edinburgh Palliative and Supportive Group and was awarded her MD in prognostication in advanced cancer from the University of Edinburgh in 2018.

The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
