Debbie Watkins

Debbie Watkins qualified as a Registered General Nurse in the early 90’s and throughout her nursing career has worked primarily within the field of Oncology. She has nursed at The Christie Hospital within the fields of both clinical and medical oncology and later moved to Wythenshawe Hospital where she worked on The Cecilia Centre chemotherapy day care unit delivering Systemic Anti- Cancer Treatment (SACT) to lung cancer patients for several years, later moving to work within the Acute Oncology team there.

During this time, she graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University, gained her Chemotherapy Administration qualification course through Clatterbridge Hospital, Non-Medical Prescribing course, Clinical Skills certificate and in 2023 gained her Advanced clinical skills, diagnostics and reasoning qualification.

She took up her current post of Senior Thoracic Medical Oncology / Oral Targeted Therapy (Lung Cancer) Nurse Practitioner, in July 2021.
