The tenth annual report of the National Lung Cancer Audit (NLCA) was released at the beginning of December.
The audit summarises the key findings for patients diagnosed with lung cancer who were first seen in secondary care in 2013, collecting data on 39,203 patients in Great Britain for this audit period, and represents approximately 100% of the cases of lung cancer presenting to secondary care.
The audit is managed by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) in partnership with the Royal College of Physicians and commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership as part of the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP).
