    Liverpool Lung Cancer unit
    Dr Martin Ledson is clinical lead for respiratory Medicine at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. He has worked within the Liverpool Lung cancer Unit since its formation in 1999. He has pioneered straight to CT and virtual working. He began lung cancer screening in Liverpool in 2016 (Liverpool Healthy Lung Program), and leads the Targeted Lung Health Program in Merseyside and Cheshire.
  • Andrea Mciver

    The Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trusts / Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital NHT Trust
    Andrea has worked in Liverpool as a Macmillan Lung Cancer CNS since 2000, previous to this her first CNS post was within Specialist Palliative Care and prior to that she has a background in thoracic surgical nursing.
    Over the past 20 years Andrea has led on the development of the CNS team along with the wider development of the diagnostic service in partnership with her MDT colleagues. Andrea is an enthusiastic advocate of the pivotal role/impact the CNS can have at the start and throughout the diagnostic pathway leading to improved outcomes for patients and the CNS fulfilling their unique role potential.
    Andrea is an established member of the Network Clinical Group being the named member for patient and public involvement. Previously Andrea been part of the Transformational project to implement the NOLCP locally and continues be an advocate for reducing timeframes between events to improve outcomes for patients and has represented nursing on the NICE lung cancer guideline committee's.
