Lorraine’s role at the charity has involved developing information and support services. The team support earlier diagnosis through awareness work at policy and community levels. The charity represents the lived experience of those with lung cancer and involves them in service improvement and policy activity. She has thirty years of experience in the charity sector and has been involved in challenging stigma and championing long-awaited improvements for those affected by lung cancer.
Lorraine has represented patient interests in the UKLCC and Scottish Cancer Coalition. She is the current chair of the Scottish working group of the Less Survivable Cancer Taskforce.

The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
