Tom Newsom-Davis is a consultant in medical oncology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, where he specialises in thoracic malignancies and leads the lung cancer services.

Dr Newsom-Davis is Chair Elect of the British Thoracic Oncology Group Steering Committee, and sits on the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Multidisciplinary Clinical Sciences Committee.

Dr Newsom-Davis has an active clinical trials portfolio, has published his work widely, and has also presented his work at a large number of international meetings. He has been an invited lecturer for various organisations including the Royal College of Physicians, European Society of Medical Oncology, IASLC, British Medical Association and the Association of Cancer Physicians.

His work on Acute Diagnostic Oncology Clinics has previously been awarded with a Macmillan Innovation Excellence Award
