Asbestos Action is a Scottish charity that has been set up to assist sufferers of asbestos related diseases. We are a not-for-profit charity set up to provide practical support and advice to those who have an asbestos related Condition. We want to ensure there is a local service, wherever you are in Scotland, to respond to any queries that a person diagnosed with an asbestos condition may have.
The charity was formed in 2002 by a small group of people who either have an asbestos related illness or have cared for someone with an asbestos linked condition.
With a small staff of five the charity punches well above its weight in providing emotional and practical support to victims of asbestos.
We understand that it is difficult to absorb all the medical information you are given and we are here to offer emotional support and advice.
There are various routes that can be taken to provide financial stability but these are often complicated and overwhelming. Asbestos Action removes this worry.
Anyone diagnosed with Mesothelioma or Asbestos related lung cancer, will receive emotional and practical one to one support in their own home, wherever they are Scotland.
