Action on Asbestos is a charity that was set up in 1984 to provide practical advice and support to those diagnosed with an asbestos condition and their families. We provide the following services:
A comprehensive benefits advice services which includes the completion of all application forms, a home visit for life limiting conditions and representation at first tier and upper tribunals.
The charity sponsor Pleural nurses throughout various geographical areas,
Action on Asbestos provide research funding to those who deal with mesothelioma and asbestos related Lung cancer in Scotland,
The staff at AOA give seminar talks to medical professional at lunch and learn events.
