Mr Silviu Buderi has been employed as a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Royal Brompton Hospital starting from the year 2020. He has finished a research program in surgical skills and sciences, with a particular emphasis on surgical training and simulation. His specialist interests include minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery; lung, mediastinal, and chest wall malignancies, with a close relationship with the Royal Marsden Hospital for thyroid cancer, sarcoma and germ cell tumor surgical management.

The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
