Nicola Alexandra Handley

Nicola is a Senior Associate Solicitor at Irwin Mitchell and specialises in asbestos related disease claims and other work-related cancers and respiratory diseases.

She has over 18 years’ experience supporting people and their families following a life changing diagnosis and is an APIL Accredited Occupational and Asbestos disease Specialist and a Senior Litigator.

Nicola has spent a significant part of her career supporting the charitable sector, healthcare professionals and other organisations to make a difference for people living with cancer by way of awareness activities, fundraising, educational sessions and networking with people to share expertise and experiences.

She is also a member of the Black Solicitors Network and leads the racial diversity and inclusion group in her office which provides support to colleagues and the local community

Nicola values the important role that lung cancer nurses have in the healthcare sector and the impact that they have on the care that patients receive. She is keen to share her personal and professional skills and expertise to support LCNUK and their members to fulfil their objectives through education, networking and communication.
