Highlights from LCNUK 2025

Looking ahead to next year's conference

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Conference. As always, it was wonderful coming together with our members to learn from each other and hear from the experts. If you joined us in London, you can revisit your event dashboard to browse abstract posters and watch our winning oral abstract presentations. We are already looking ahead to 2026 and are delighted to share that next year our conference returns to Glasgow on the 18th and 19th June.

Annual Project Update 2025

Natalie Barnett, LCNUK Annual Project Lead, provides a short overview of this year's project. The project members created a new tool to evaluate the complexity of lung cancer patients. The tool was initially tested on 10 patients and was later expanded to give a fuller overview of the patient pathway. Natalie details the limitations of the project, as well as the areas for further evaluation that were borne out of the research.

Update from the Thoracic Surgical Group

Pete Barton, LCNS, gives an update on the work the TSG has undertaken this year. The group has just finished an exciting project on stratified follow up - looking at the protocols followed across Trusts and reviewing and comparing them. Pete highlights the benefits of being part of the TSG including taking part in national research and getting a broader perspective on how things run.
