It is important to understand with each letter of LGBTQ+ is a community of its own.  Overall, it is shown that 32.8% of those within the LGBTQ+ community smoke, a rate that is 68% in the general population.  

Despite growing social acceptance, the LGBTQ+ population continue to face barriers with the health service.
