Maria Hill

Maria Hill has over 11 years of experience as a Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, including 6 years in an advanced/nurse consultant role. She holds a degree in palliative care, a postgraduate certificate from the Mary Seacole leadership course, qualifications in independent non-medical prescribing, and an MSc in Advanced Practice (Cancer). Her current role involves leading nurse-led clinics for patients with abnormal chest X-rays, managing assessments, investigations, and diagnoses, as well as follow-up care for patients post-curative treatment. She is passionate about patient-centered care, particularly in prehabilitation and frailty assessments, and has successfully led a smoking cessation service for lung cancer patients. Maria is working collaboratively to focus on developing prehab for non curative patients receiving anti cancer therapy
