Ruth Strauss Foundation

Charity Sponsor
In 2018, Ruth Strauss, wife of ex-England cricket captain Sir Andrew Strauss, was diagnosed with ALK+ lung cancer. Ruth died in December 2018; she was 46 years old and a mother to two young boys. In her memory, Sir Andrew set up the Ruth Strauss Foundation (RSF). The Foundation's mission is to raise awareness, facilitate collaboration and fund vital research on non-smoking lung cancers, striving for earlier diagnoses, better treatment and improved patient outcomes. The Foundation also supports families where a parent has incurable cancer, empowering children to embrace the future with resilience and hope.
The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
