Rachael English is a Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow. She qualified as a nurse in 2003 with a BA (hons). Rachael had extensive experience as an Oncology Nurse before joining the Beatson Hospital Palliative Care Team and Interventional Cancer Pain Services in 2016. She is the nursing lead for the Interventional Cancer Pain Service, supporting patients with difficult to control cancer pain. Rachael also works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care within the Beatson.

The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
