Dr Craig Dyer is a Respiratory Consultant at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and is currently the Lung Cancer Lead for Wales. His work has involved collaboration across the region to develop a standardised genomic testing pathway, including the use of circulating tissue DNA in routine testing. He most recent work has involved the development of a regional navigational bronchoscopy programme, to improve access to advanced, minimally invasive procedures for patients across Wales. Craig is also a key contributor to lung cancer screening pilot projects, aiming to detect disease earlier and improve survival outcomes.

His clinical work focuses on integrating innovative technologies and multidisciplinary approaches to enhance patient outcomes in thoracic oncology. Craig actively champions nurse-led initiatives and multidisciplinary collaboration, believing that empowered nursing teams are critical to reducing delays and improving patient experience.

Alongside his clinical leadership, Craig is committed to education and service development, delivering training to enhance skills in advanced diagnostics and integrated care. His vision is a seamless pathway, recognising the critical role all team members play in guiding patients through complex investigations with compassion and precision.
