Julia McAdam

Julia McAdam has worked as a Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist in Shropshire since 2003, becoming the Lead LCNS in 2019. Prior to that she worked in Haematology, Oncology and as a Ward sister at her local hospice. Within her LCNS role, Julia undertook the role of Lead Cancer Nurse as well as Operational manager for Oncology for the Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

Julia is the current Chair of LCNUK, having joined the committee in February 2018. She has played an active role on the steering committees of NLCA, BTOG and the CEG, as well as supporting the Annual workshop, RIG and TSG.

Day to Day, Julia enjoys her varied role as the Lead lung CNS, undertaking the daily triage of referrals, USC clinics and maintaining the surgical follow up service, as well as a virtual nodule clinic. Julia leads a team of 7 LCNSs and one Navigator.

Most recently, Julia has enjoyed working with the project management team at LCNUK, overseeing the development of the Navigator Framework, and the new online learning modules.

The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
