Cancer Nursing Practice have published a report by Mesothelioma UK capturing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients with mesothelioma, their carers and MCNSs.  The results showed that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a negative effect on the mental health and well-being of patients and carers and psychological effects of mesothelioma can be compounded by COVID-19

LCNUK is delighted to announce funding for one - two small projects up to a total value of £5,000 per application.  Projects should generate research, evaluation or audit data that inform the practice of LCNUK members.  Applications will be judged by a panel including the Chair of the LCNUK Committee (Jackie Fenemore), Chair of the Research Interest Group (Dr Cathy Henshall), and other members of the committee.  The closing date for applications is 30 May 2021

The University of Bristol is seeking 26 cancer patients who have been smokers and have made at least 1 quit attempt to participate in a research study which will involve an app on a smartwatch to support quitters.  If you have patients who might be interested find out more in the link below and contact the study author in the supporting documentation
