Josie is a Macmillan Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust and works with patients and carers throughout their diagnosis of lung cancer and mesothelioma, during treatment and rehabilitation. She is a non-medical prescriber and accredited facilitator for the Connect Advanced Communication Training Programme.

Her past positions include: Clinical Nurse Specialist in Specialist Palliative Care and Lead Cancer Nurse. She has experience in haemato-oncology and managing the outreach chemotherapy unit.
Josie co-facilitates the NLCFN annual workshop and contributes to the Cancer Nursing Partnership, Living with and beyond cancer programme. She represents the forum on the BTOG steering group.
Josie participates in research and audit projects and is involved in pre/rehabilitation programmes for patients undergoing surgery and treatment for lung cancer. With the support of the Research Interest Group (RIG) she has completed a piece of research on ‘What do people living with and surviving lung cancer want and need from the Recovery package?’
