Monica Hugh

Monica Hugh has been a Lung Cancer Nurse for 10 years. Her background prior to this was in palliative care and she was able to transfer some of her previous skills to the lung cancer nursing role. She is passionate about the role and providing high quality care to patients. Lung cancer treatments and outcomes have changed considerably during recent years and the role is constantly evolving as we learn more about new therapies that can benefit patients. Monica is privileged to be in a role that is constantly evolving and provides numerous opportunities for development.
Monica is currently one of the nursing clinical leads for the Getting it Right First Time programme and has a particular interest in treating tobacco addiction in lung cancer patients.
