LCNUK Conference 2023

We are delighted to share that registration is now open for our 2023 Annual Conference! Join us on the 11th and 12th May, in Birmingham to reconnect with friends and colleagues and share best practice in lung cancer nursing. Our annual conference is the go-to event for any nurse working in lung cancer providing highly relevant information and training for your professional portfolio as well as offering a chance to relax and share with your friends, colleagues and peers.

Abstract submissions are open

The LCNUK Conference is an excellent opportunity to present your work and network with other researchers and specialists in the lung cancer nursing field. We welcome research abstracts and examples of best practice or service development. Encore abstracts are accepted and prizes will be awarded for best abstract and best poster.

Join the Thoracic Surgical Group Meeting

The next LCNUK Thoracic Surgical Group Meeting will take place on Thursday 16th March 2023 at the Irwin Mitchell Offices in Birmingham between 9:30am - 4:00pm. The group welcome new attendees. If you are interested in getting involved please email info@lcnuk.org.
Lung Cancer: treatment and toxicities

The Christie School of Oncology are hosting a study day on Tuesday 21st March via livestream and onsite. The session will provide an update in the field of lung cancer whilst looking at the patient holistically. The study day will look at new treatment options, clinical trials and the impact that treatment (or no treatment) has on patients. Fees are £50 per person, with '5 for 4' on livestream tickets. Lung cancer imaging - from core to conundrums

This British Institute of Radiology study day will be held on Wednesday 8th February 2023 in London. The session aims to provide a review and update of all aspects of lung cancer imaging focusing on the diagnostic workflow, emphasising  the translational aspect of imaging studies and how their interpretation affects our patients. The programme is tailored to a multidisciplinary discussion of lung cancer imaging.

Healthcare Companion

The ‘Your Health Companion’ app was introduced at the LCNUK Conference earlier in 2022. The app may provide significant benefit to patients and has the potential to transform our conversations with patients and improve the care we can deliver. The Health Companion is for all patients at all stages of lung cancer. If you are not yet participating in this programme please consider getting involved and joining this important venture.
