In an article published in Cancer Nursing Practice the charity Breast Cancer Now (BCN) has warned of a crisis in access to cancer nurse specialists (CNSs) which must be addressed amid a huge backlog of undiagnosed cases due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  BCN said pressures on CNSs and diagnostic and imaging staff existed even before the pandemic and urged the government to invest more in the healthcare workforce

ALK Positive have launched an excellent Good Practice Guide.  The document aims to empower patients to be involved in and informed about their treatment.
It is intended for use by patients diagnosed with Alk-Positive NonSmall Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), the majority of whom will have been diagnosed at Stage 4.

Cancer Nursing Practice has published a fascinating literature review on barriers to the delivery and uptake of psychosocial care in adult cancer services.  The review's findings highlighted  sub-optimal organisational support for nurses skills and training and workplace environment and issues around availability and acceptability of psychosocial care.
