Next week is our AGM.  For the meeting to go ahead we need it to be quorate - i.e. at least 5% of the membership.  You can register to attend or alternatively if you cannot attend you can complete and return a proxy voting form.

Have you got a background in research? We are seeking expressions of interested from those with relevant experience to lead our research interest group. The role involves leading the research interests for LCNUK, reviewing and managing abstracts submitted to conference and reviewing and managing grant awards.  Anyone interested should send an expression of interest and cv by email.

We all know how tough a year it has been so we're delighted that the committee and trustees have recommended that any member who joins or renews their membership this year  will have their membership extended by a year so no fees until 2022. Don't miss out make sure you renew this year.

Evidence-based recommendations for the management and treatment of radiodermatitis were summarized in Oncology Nursing Society guidelines published in the Oncology Nursing Forum. The guidelines are available online via the ONF website.

Symptom guides were perceived as helpful by nurses conducting telephone-based follow-up care for patients with cancer undergoing chemotherapy, according to results of a retrospective study published in Oncology Nursing Forum.

ESMO was a virtual event this year.  But there were a number of presentations that were valuable for LCNUK members.  Rachel Thomas has kindly picked out one abstract, "Can cytokines predict adverse events in patients treated with immunotherapy?" and prepared a blog for you to read on the subject.
