Nurses demonstrated outside Downing Street this week  calling for higher pay and better personal protective equipment (PPE), particularly for black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) staff.  The demonstration was led by the  Nurses United UK campaign group @nurses_united, which wants a 10% pay rise for nurses and enhanced PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nurse researchers should contribute to the meaningful design and implementation of digital innovations, says professor of nursing Rhonda Wilson.  In this article, she reports on advances in technology and highlights why nurses need to keep abreast of these developments so that they can support best practice and patient management

Willingness to participate in a smoking cessation program was associated with improved survival among patients with new lung cancer diagnoses, suggesting those with favorable prognoses may be especially interested in cessation support. These findings were presented during the ASCO20 Virtual Scientific Program.
