The governments targets to make the UK smoke free (defined ashaving less than 5% of people smoking) is unlikely to be achieved in England and Scotland. Latest figures suggest England will not achieve this until 2037 and Scotland could miss the target by up to 16 years.   

Are you put off by getting involved in time consuming research but interested in doing more to demonstrate the value of the lung CNS and extending the role? We're planning to review the outputs of our recent workshops and explore how we can get involved in a "big Project" but which doesn't consume all your time. If you're interested let us know.

Mesothelioma UK is committed to supporting research into all aspects of treatment and care related to mesothelioma. Working in collaboration with LCNUK, up to £25,000 is available for a member or group of members to undertake a small scale research study, a complex audit or a preliminary enquiry to support a larger grant application.
