NICE have updated the Lung Cancer in Adults Quality Standards.  There are two new standards recommending tobacco cessation support for those who smoke and recommending treatment with curative intent in those with Stage I or II NSCLC.  Other standards have been updated

The 16th LCNUK Annual Workshop will take place on 10/11 February 2020 in central Birmingham.  This is an ideal opportunity for members to explore and get involved in a highly relevant project which will help support professional development and contribute towards revalidation requirements.  The event is free to attend, including accommodation and standard class travel (max £250).  

 LCNUK is delighted to announce the second Promoting Research in Oncology Nursing workshop which is scheduled to take place on 4/5 June 2020 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham.  This workshop aims to explore and support those participating in moving from an idea for research to developing a full funding proposal.  Participants will be eligible to apply to LCNUK for financial support to take their research idea

 Mesothelioma UK is committed to supporting research into all aspects of treatment and care related to mesothelioma. Working in collaboration with Lung Cancer Nursing UK up to £25,000 is available for a LCNUK member or group of members to undertake a small scale research study, a complex audit or a preliminary enquiry to support a larger grant application.
