, You may be aware of the work we have being doing to inform our members about a new digital service for our patients: ‘Your Health Companion’. We introduced it at the LCNUK Conference earlier in 2022 and have been running webinars to promote it (which you may have seen if you follow us on Twitter). The Health Companion may provide significant benefit to patients and has the potential to transform our conversations with patients and improve the care we can deliver. In addition, the patient reported outcomes through the Health Companion provide a significant step change in real-world research capability which LCNUK may be able to use for its own research. More information on the programme. The Health Companion is for all patients at all stages of lung cancer. If you are not yet participating in this programme please consider getting involved and joining this important venture. It's easy to get involved:- - Simply read the request letter (which contains background to the project) and then download and print for your hospital – so they are aware what is being proposed. Please forward it to your oncology department.
- If you want a demonstration version of ‘Your Health Companion’ on your phone you can go to the www.health-companion.me/nurse-page and complete the form.
- Download the colour Patient Leaflet and print it out (double sided if possible, flip on short edge, so that it nicely folds) or, we can send pre-printed patient leaflets – contact sally@dash-global.com who will post you a pack along with some wall posters.
- Tell your patients about the programme and share the materials with them. They'll need a little support to complete the clinical details and permissions and then they'll be able to download and start using the Health Companion APP and bring into clinic.
Don’t forget, you will NOT need to technically support this APP as there are dedicated Health Companion Managers whom you or the patients can contact, email: HCmanagers@lcnuk.org and telephone: 0116 218 5718. Thank you for your support. Please stay engaged with this, and let us know your feedback. On behalf of LCNUK
